Certain contacts set to different tune.
Contact calls, personal ringtone not used but the tune set as ringtone sounds

I noticed this since first FW, thought I was the only one. Works only when my phone is connected to bluetooth car set. Very annoying.

I e-mailed Sony Ericsson who say it isn't a problem.
I've tried to search this forum for the answer that I found to tell me it was the bluetooth but can't find it anywhere. If someone can supply alink to other uses with the same problem I'd be gratefull.

The problem is widely reported with the P990i too, mine does the same. You'll find plenty about it in the p990 threads.
Works with Bluetooth off or when connected to bluetooth headset but not when bluetooth is on but idle.
Does anyone know if it's been fixed in the latest P990 firmware update? This would suggest a M600 fix is on the way!

i have a similar problem with my w950i.
select what ringtone i want, and randomly it resets itself to default. i can be stood in a shop when my phone rings, and i am completely oblivious to it being mine as i dont recognise the ringtone. then i look up and everyone is staring at me with the 'are you gonna answer your phone or what?!' look on their face.
EDI: just been playing around, it appears that everytime the theme is changed the ringtones, message alerts and alarm sounds all get reset to default. (well, on w950 anyway)

That was the same in the old P-Series with regards to themes and it isn't actually a bug.
It happens because the UIQ themes can contain ringtones and so they are changed with the theme. Unfortunately there is no option to simply NOY apply the theme tones (at least there wasn't on the P-Series, I haven't had a UIQ3 phone yet)

Just a note to say that P990 FW upgrade solved the problem. No ringtone/Bluetooth conflict now. Hopefully next M600 update will do same!
