That sounds serious. I would exchange it. Could be a faulty battery.

I can confirm that using 3G causing the phone to be hotter than using 2G. Don't know why.

Could be higher battery consumption.

Its the fast data that causes the rise in temperature.
Anyone felt a ZV50 HSDPA Samsung after about half an hour???
Its Hot!!
But err your phone shouldnt be heating up to temperatures that are unbearable.

My phone doesn't heat up while browsing opera mini.
The only time it does heat up is when I am streaming live TV, when it can get quite warm but not unbearable.
It might be caused by the battery draining so quickly.

I was thnking the same, that its the battery draining quickly, and major power consumption, thanx guys you are alot of help, thanx for the quick replies,i thnk i am going to replace the battery, coz the only part of the phone that heats up is the battery area, coz the keypad stays normal, and so does the area wit da camera and speaker, so it must be the battery

It might be a good idea to check the battery first just in case. I always carry a spare as when you have multiple things going on the W900i it does consume some power.
