it will play but it won't sound any good because the phone will not support the new parameters that aac+ or HE-AAC provides. you're better off just using a lower bitrate with aac if all you're interested in is to minimize filesize and are not too particular about sound quality.

Actually k750/w800 does play he-aac and he-aac v2 aka eaac+.
but the support is only partially implemented,i find eaac+ is played in mono (?).
