I have an odd problem with an SE w810i phone that I have been given.
The phone is only 2 months old and has been damaged in any way, but im having a problem with the battery life. If the phone isnt used for calls, music, bluetooth, anything, the most I can get from a full charge is 8 hours.
I dont have bluetooth turned on or any other application running, and the power save is switched on.
Ive tried charging the battery from flat for 10 hours a number of times, but this has no affect. In fact, I know its not the battery itself as it lasts for almost 4 days on my old w800i.
Ive tried resetting the phone to factory defaults, so I know theres no strange settings using the battery that Im unaware of.
Im using a 2GB memory card, but ive also tried a 512MB card and this doesnt help.
When i was given the phone it was an o2 phone, but im using it with vodafone sim. The phone still has the little o2 (looks like a letter G) above the signal display and the main menu displays o2 as the top left icon.
The only thing I can thing of is that the phone isnt unblocked or unlocked from o2 properly and this is having an affect on the battery life.
Hoping somebody can help !!

doubt its this m8, as i understand a phone can be unlocked or locked, nowhere in between. Anyway try to update the sofware via SEUS and if it says you have newest update then update anyway, if this doesnt solve it take it back to o2 or your nearest SE service centre, hope this helps

man, i believe they gave you a phone with a bad battery, get a new battery & see if you still have the same problem.

its definitely not the battery. Ive bought a new battery and it still lasts 8 hours max. Ive checked the new battery in my old w800i and it lasts for 4 days.
Currently trying to suss out the SEUS "macromedia not installed problem", before updating the firmware on the phone.

Well, try completely uninstalling those two apps. Going into the registry, removing temp folders etc. and eliminating all traces. If you are not comfortable doing it, a good app to do that for you is ccleaner.

it is free, then install flash player first then SEUS again. And reboot after each section.
