Got my new 4gb MS yesterday. Very excited. Been waiting since October : scammed twice on Ebay in spite of good feedback from sellers! Bought it from Amazon in the end.
I plugged it into my w850 and the screen froze for nearly 15 seconds. I wondered if it was faulty. I plugged it into my old w800. I thought it had crashed, but later found out that it freezes for about 30 seconds. These same delays occur when the phone starts up. My 2gb MS is recognised instantly. Other than the delay in recognising the card, it's brilliant.
Anyone else have this delay? Is this normal?

some people might tell you to format the card but I have never, ever, formatted a card before putting it into a phone so I never understand why people say that, and I have had ALOT of memory sticks of all sizes
if this continues to happen I'd send it back to Amazon for a replacement

I`ve never formatted a card before use either.Just stick it straight in the phone.Mine have been sony and sandisk.

You might just try formatting it in the phone... Worth a go!
My K750i wouldn't recognise my 2GB Sandisk innitialy so i formatted it in the phone and it was fine after that.
If this doesn't have any effect I would say that the memory was defective.

My K750 doesn't have any difficulties recognizing a 2GB card, but after USB mass storage connection, it lags a bit in the media player, when I choose "all tracks".

Tried to format MS. It's asking me for the phone lock code. Anyone know what the default code is. Can't see it in the manual.

Thanks. Formatting the card has reduced the delay from 13 to 5 seconds. I can live with that. I'll see how the card fares for a few weeks.
