> Why i love my P990

A post on another thread got me thinking. So many posts about what's wrong with the P990 and/or UIQ.
Well i for one love my P990i, furthermore IMHO i think UIQ is by far the best operating system. Since i had my P900/P910 i've had both S60 and WM5, i can safely say they're not a patch on UIQ.
Lets' bring some balance to the equation, if i was thinking of getting a P990 and read the threads here on esato it'd put me off. That'd be a shame.
On this thread let's keep it positive and only talk about the good stuff, there's plenty of threads to bash the phone elsewhere!
To get the ball rolling here's what i love about my P990/UIQ:
1, Great messaging app combined with qwerty/normal keypad = best for messaging.
2, Battery last longer than both my last WM5 and S60 phones.
3, Love the size of screen, i use it as a mobile picture album.
4, Web browsing, great in landscape mode and again better than with my SPV 3100 and N80.
5, Wicked vibrate and volume of ringtones = No missed calls.
6,and finally the best is "accept calls", screen calls by only allowing preset contacts calls to come through. Brilliant on my day off so only friends can get through.
I know some of these apply to other SE phones but i've used K800 and W850 and i'm still get more of a kick from using P990!

i couldnt agree with you more! i love my p990! i have no problems with it at all! now and again it crashes so i reset it! big deal! my laptop crashes, XP crashes! my brothers n90 crashes my tytn crashes! everything crashes! its not a big deal! its all been blown well out of proportion! if i wanted a phone i would have bought a phone! it would have been stable but it would have been boring!

megabass for it MP3 player
dedicated play-stop button.
touch screen locks on flip closed
interface is better than m600i ( more advanced imho )
standard sim slot.....(i can use my dual sim adapter)
i can use it as flashlight
all in all.....a nokia (flip closed) and SE (flip opened) combined.

Yes, that keylock switch on the side is very good.
One other great thing is (possibly greatest) the illuminated charging stand. I can now succesfully put my phone on charge in the dark or when i've had a little too much to drink without putting the bedside lamp on or clattering around to find the charger and waking up my missus.
