The GTX GPS shoes have a small GPS tracking device inside the shoe actually communicates the location to a central location tracking service.
ESATO NEWS
Xplorer, the next generation of smart GPS shoes, incorporates the smallest, most powerful and robust GPS tracking device on the market today. Drawing on a long history of patented embedded GPS technology for footwear and other consumer products, GTXC has been in development on the Xplorer line for the past three years. The new line advances the state of GPS tracking technology considerably, utilizing several groundbreaking innovations currently in the patent process.
Utilizing GTXC's internet user portal along with the Xplorer shoe, caretakers of children, the elderly, and other's can easily customize their monitoring and text location alerting through a proprietary "set it and forget it" Dual GeoFencing™ feature, which will revolutionize the industry.
Patrick Bertagna, CEO, states, "The Xplorer smart GPS tracking shoe is the first of wearable electronics that enhances lifestyle and peace of mind. This disruptive technology is projected to transform the way people think about buying clothing and footwear. Traditional buying criteria such as fashion, comfort and pricing will converge with lifestyle improvements to ultimately influence brand awareness and consumer buying decisions."
Bertagna continues, "In developing the Xplorer Smart GPS shoe, along with the highly qualified GTXC engineering team we have interfaced with dozens of other engineers from significant companies such as Octera, enFora and Cingular Wireless. They have been instrumental in this engineering marvel and we are very appreciative of their efforts and our strong working relationships".
Xplorer advances the state of Personal Location Services by incorporating assisted GPS for enhanced indoor accuracy, and GTXC's "set-it-and-forget-it" Dual GeoFencing™ feature, which allows perimeters of either safe zones (green) or un-safe zones (red) to be preset by caretakers, who will receive cell phone alerts if a perimeter is breached by the wearer. Another key feature is the long-lasting proprietary intelligent power source. It can last days before requiring a recharge and transmit its signal strength over the air, which enables a guardian not only to track a loved one but also track the performance and status of the device. Xplorer is small enough, powerful enough and feature-rich enough that GTXC has already signed new licenses and identified several incremental opportunities including the military, maritime and law enforcement.
Mr. Bertagna summarizes by saying, "There are literally dozens of features that make this THE smart GPS shoe to see at the international shoe show".
Exhibiting as part of the GTXC team at the Las Vegas Hilton booth number 67153 will be Frank O'Connell (former president at Reebok) and Chris Walsh (former Nike, Reebok and LA Gear executive). They are both currently at GTXC and have already begun scheduling private showings with some of the industry leaders.
