i might be upgrading to a w950 within a month or 2 max.so i jst wanted to know enquire few things abt it!
1.How is WALKMAN interface?is it user friendly?
2.What is the max free space available...is it 4g(or less like in the MSPD's)?
3.What is the max speed of transfering files from PC?
4.Is the OS stable? i mean i know the UIQ3's got probs,but is better than the p990?
5.Is the hissing still present?

for me to use its very simple....But hey thats just my opinion. Others may differ. Nice layout, visualisations etc etc, i dont get confused using it at all...

I think mine had 3.8gb. Maybe someone else can confirm that for you.
3.What is the max speed of transfering files from PC?
3mb+ i think per second....Again, that needs to be confirmed as it may very well be wrong
But i find it damn quick. I converter a few 55mb music files the other day using Disc 2 Phone (128kbps) took about a minute....Dont know how it went that quick, some took longer. But because i changed to 192kbps.
4.Is the OS stable? i mean i know the UIQ3's got probs,but is better than the p990?
on my firmware (r9da001, cant upgrade though yet as its a 3 phone) its very staable. Has not yet crashed on me in about 2 weeks. Compared to my old p990i, its as if the w950 was turbocharged
much faster.
5.Is the hissing still present?
No, not that ive notcied, sound quality is excellent...
w950 is a really good phone imho

yes 3.8 on mine too.the walkman could be better laid out when navigating with the back button.operating system very stable.walkmandoes crash sometimes when scrolling through album artwork.

wat abt the album arts?
the 850 had probs with it.does the 950 have too?
most of the arts on my itunes are of 300x300 res,will i have to resize or something?

I find the M600i the best innovation regards to keyboard in a long, long time.
The albumarts works fine for me. I have no problem with attaching a picture to the album. I use 200x200 jpeg pictures.
The whole interface with albumarts, moodanimation appeals a lot to me. It makes the player interesting and you never get bored!
I bet you iPod and similar players will copy the moodfeature!

I'm almost with you there about the keyboard except I would do it the other way around, I would put the media player into my white M600 and then it would be perfect!
in regards to album art, yeah, it works fine and I follow a useful tip here on Esato which is to go grab the CD image from play.com and place it into the folder belonging to that album. works every time.

does that mean i will have to copy my arts into the phone?
i thought i could just copy the songs(art already attached via itunes) frm itunes to the 950....
and can any one post some pics of the 950 with the album art interface..
really eager to get this phone....gotta wait till march!!!

sorry, I have never used itunes. I have all my music in WMA format and use windows media player, which can also sync music to the W950 but for some reason does not copy the album art
perhaps I really should look at itunes one day
