Hi Just to check quickly. Does the W800i have a restriction on how many contacts can be added to its phonebook like earlier Sony Ericsson's"

those are the amount of tel nrs afaik, not the contacts ( u can add more tel nrs to 1 contact )

No, when you go into the memory status of the contacts it says
Phone memory
Contacts xxx(500)
Numers xxx

500 is plenty good, plus 200 from the average sim card. No one needs 500 numbers.
