Send email to Wotan along with the log history. He will return the credit.

He'll have the credit back, and what about the phone?

He will need to hve it done properly using a client, not via internet. However unfotunately you may have a lovely looking paperweight.

This is the issue with DVT and Wotan, you have no control and the amount of horror stories is unbelievable.

As he gets the credit back, he may have the chance to reflash IMHO.

The "phone cannot be recognised, whatever I do" somehow I doubt that this is magically gonna change and that he'll be able to use any online service for it, as the USB connection is not active, therefore the computer doesn't know the phone is there.

Sounds like a VERY serious problem and as I mentioned one of the pitfalls from trying these things on unreliable internet based systems, hence we have not launched this servcie as it really is more hassle than it's worth.

I am not decrying Wotan/DVT or anyone merely mentioning that doing these things yourself is tricky enough without having to worry about clients with which there is no control and your only link is the internet.

You have most probably caused an error in the GDFS by having an unfinished phone, if this is correct then you will not be able to remidy it.

I hope this is not the case.

Try taking the battery out and the sim card etc. Reboot the PC, put the battery back in and try to reconnect, if that fails try another PC.

If that fails it's gonna have to go to a SE service centre or specialist, and it will NOT be covered by warranty, as it was self inflicted. Unless you lie.

However as mentioned, you may well get your credit back.
