im om AOL broadband but its more or less aol slowestband! im supposed to connect at 576kbs but my aol connects at speeds as snailish as 7007bps, 20002bps,!
ive contacted aol several times, uninstalled kazaa and all known spyware, reinstalled aol, done all aol advised without any success...
but when i carried out a DSL line WOOSH test to verify my line speed, it connects at 576kbs, but aol seems to be bonkers at connecting...and i can only access the net with the aol software...right now my speed's 23kbs...imagine that 4 broadband...
ive downloaded the latest modem drivers...everything...note that ive never connected with a high speed on this service...anyone had similar problems? ive done all aol told me to do still without success...i know theres no probs with the dsl line...
im bonkers already...AOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ive changed the dsl filters, everything...anyone knows wassup?

This is a forum for mobile phones.
Why go with AOL, has to be one of the worst ISP's in the world, covers your system in crap and very hard to remove the software without re-installing office.
I know I used to work for about 9 ISP's a day (Usual helpdesk shit, pretend to be a different company each time the phone rang).
Leave AOL and avoid BT broadband also, they are a con also.

ADSLguide is great
Pipex is pants at support. My line was out of action for over 2 weeks and I never even got a response to my emails asking for support!
If you go with Pipex and need support I suggest a continually looping fax (tape a couple of pages end to end and keep sending it) to their support fax number - that's worked for me before.
