The City of Manchester has had its bid accepted to build the first Supercasino in the UK, with hot favourite Blackpool shocked at having lost.
I'm not quite sure whether things have changed since I was a kid but I was brought up to view gambling as a bad thing!
Don't get me wrong, I am pleased that the people of Manchester have come out victorious but is a huge casino really a good thing? Isn't there already a gambling addiction problem in the UK?
