> Help! Is my p990i dead?
Bookmark topic
Last night i decided to update the firmware of my p990i to the latest one.
So i started to download the update service installer first and then after fully charging my phone, i started the update service.
It detected my phone and asked me to continue which i did and it showed updating software.
First it was damn slow like 2% increase in 20 min and then i decided to go out for 2 min and when i came back i saw that the installer had a different window( the one with a cellphone in conncection through a wire) and it showed 1%, 3% and then in 10 sec. it showed update complete. i was confused at first because first it took ages to complete 2% and now it took secs. to complete the whole process without even going for the progress as 5%, 6%,...100%.
And then when i exit the installer and unplugged the usb cable from my phone, my phone just flashes the screen continuosly.
I tried restarting the phone 4 to 5 times but in vain.
Somebody plz help me. Is my phone dead?? Tell me what to do?

Did you hold the "C"-button when you plugged it in?

Seems like you need to get it re-flashed at your service rep.
Or exchange it under warranty...
Sorry I can't be of more assistance.
