Got one of the first batch of P990's from Expansys when they first came out. The call answer button, and the one immediately to its right (the "up" button) have just gone faulty, no longer respond.

Should I raise this with Expansys, or Sony. Will Sony honour the warranty as it appears the initial stock that Expansys sold was unofficial imports ?

I know if it arrived from expansys or died a couple of days later, I'd go back to them, but its about 4 months now since I bought it, so wondering how to proceed. Anyone been thru this ? How quick are expansys at turnaround ?

expansys terms and conditions say that faults that occur after 21 days shuold be referred to the manufacturer, and I suspect thats what they will tell you if you call them for a returns number.

so, try first and if they won't do it, then go back to Expansys

Yes but sales of goods act says back to retailer for first 6 months after purchase who have responsibility to have repaired or replaced even if this is done by manufacturer, in 2nd 6 month period customer should contact manufacturer directly.
