Hi guys, i'm needing some advice or help. I just unlocked my 3network k800 using davinci gsmen. now i want to debrand it, but i had previously bought credits on wontan. My question is can i debrand using wontan even though i unlocked using gsmen.

Alos i'm a bit confused about the versions etc, my phone has the firmware R1CD001. Erom is R3A016. What is the best/latest upgrade version to use?

One more question, what exactly happens after the debranding process, i know that it will be a factory default brand, but i saw something about languages somewhere and it seems like there are many regions all with english (i do want english as default language). Now which region do i choose, does this make any difference, i am in south africa and travel every month to UK, USA, Japan and spain for business, so again do the regions make any difference and which one would be best since i continent hop.

Isn't unlock automatically debrand? Not sure here since never own locked or branded phone.

You already got latest EROM version so just need latest firmware. On wotan it is R1JC but you may need to update EROM CID to 51 first to be able to load EROM CID51 R1JC from EROM CID49 R1CD. (Don't confuse 'EROM version' and 'EROM CID')

yup my phone was locked to 3 network. i got it unlocked using dvt, but its still branded with the 3 software which i want removed. I'm wondering if i can use wontan for debraning the 3 software?

yes of course you can, and i would upload first through SEUS even if it says you have latest update and thn you will get CID51 and be able to get R1JC002

and the language pack i would choose is 'Generic UK / Australia / South Africa' or EUROPE2(Generic UK)

Let me put a check list here quickly
1) use seus to update firmware first, seus will also update CID to 51 if it isnt already updated.
2) Debrand using wotan (will there be a further firmware change?)
3) use phone!!

There is no benefit of using CID51 to CID49. In fact with newer CID51 you can't mod your phone at all.

Only R1GB or newer firmware has EROM CID51 so unless SEUS has R1GB for your brand then you can't update your EROM to CID51. For what I know only kulan ( www.kulankendi.com ) offer updating and flashing firmware from CID49 to CID51 with just 1 credit. Read the instruction carefully in their forum. Cheers!

no there wont be any further firmware change apart from newest unbranded firmware, and yes CID51 is better because you are then able to get newer firmwares cos SE are stopping releasing CID49 fw, and when u say modding u mean phonexs and tht- if so i dint think u could mod db2020 with phonexs yet anyway and what can you do to them if u can?
