"minimalistic, cheap rates, any java phone" describe Tokiva as well, and plus good quality.

Hi all,
IMHO the king of true VOIP is Fring by along way as it offers Skype, Google and MSN Voice and IM over both WiFi and 3G, GPRS. It also is extremely easy to set up and use no need to enter lots of configurations as with some SIP clients. Unlike some called pseudo VOIP clients that incur charges or need you to connect via your PC it just works and is free. The only charges you incur are your Networks for Data if you use 3G, GPRS or Skype Out standard rate calls.

This thread is related to VoIP alternatives apps, in other word this apps works as callback or such callers that connect 2 phones through 2 calls from an enterprise. Fring, Iskoot, etc are true VoIP apps and use bandwith/gprs to make direct calls to SIP accounts or land/mobile phones.
