Hi All,
I just upgraded from a Motorola V3i to a Sony ericsson k610i.
I could also choose the K800 but I like the k610 is smaller.
I have some questions:
1: After I upgraded the firmware I cant run programs or games.
Do I need to move the files on the memory card via the PC or wait for a new firmware to fix it?
I read that the memory card should be removed when upgradeing.
What is best to do with the new JC firmware when upgradeing to that?
2: Will the 2 gig SD sandisk memory card work on this phone?
3: I saw I can get some bluetooth GPS for it, can I install some software like tomtom or something else so I dont
have to use the online Wayfinder stuff?
I need some software installed instead
4: Are there any tricks for making the battery last longer I already turned down the light in the screen as much as possible.
Kind Regards,
Ben

@Solomon3000
Hi and welcome to esator
Any java programs that does not come with the firmware and that was on the phone before the upgrade has to be added again in to the phone to be able to work.
i.e. every time I upgrade my firmware I have to download gmails java app again. Little bit irritating, but that is how it is.
I have left my M2 inside the phone everytime I upgrade without any problem.
The content on the card is not tampered with.
I can't see why the 2gig card would not work.
I am thinking of getting it my self.
For the other questions I hope someone else can help you.
Try to search tho forum, the answers are probably out there.
Cheers
/A

You'll only be able to use satnav with an online solution, like Wayfinder, Nav4all, etc.
You can't install TomTom, as the K610i has no (Windows or Symbian) OS.
