Im not really an expert on the internet. Yesterday we got sky broadband and its brilliant. Downloading things was really fast all of yestersay and most of today, but for the past few hours is started to get really slow. Here was my speed yesterday:

here it is earlier today:

and here it is now:

as you can see its been getting much slower. downloading was likev 300kb/s, now im lucky if it reaches 35kb/s. Does anybody know why it has become so much slower and how i can solve it? thanks

i have this problem quite often, when i completely reset my router/modem it usually fixes the problem.

If that doesnt help may be worth asking you ISP if youve been fuped, meaning your download speed has been capped due to excessive downloads. ISP's still cap your downloads if you download too mcuh even if your on unlimited.

Good luck mate

I think you may be suffering from what I have been fighting my service provider about for ages. It's called Contention Ratio. Basically, it has to do with how many other connections are using the available bandwith. See here for more details: http://www.idnet.net/broadband/contentionratio.jsp
