I thought it was bad enough at 40p per minute on pre pay but i just noticed that T Mobile are charging on contract 2.50 per minute for calls to 08 numbers. Disgusting. How can you justify that to calls withing the uk to local rate numbers. Its an outrage no other network does that. What annoys me is people like myself make calls to telephone banking and my Halifax number is 08 so its out of order. The only network to include 08 numbers in its inclusive minutes are O2. Maybe that will end soon. Anyone on T Mobile had a huge bill due to this.

Thats pure rip-off.
I think all operators have their bad bits.
If I was you I would search for the actual landline number for the number you dial for your bank - they do exist.
I bank with Abbey and instead of dialing there 0845 number I have found the 'real' number. Numbers beginning with 08 and 09 are called 'cloaking numbers' as they cloak a normal landline number.
I will see if I can find it for you.
(I found mine on moneysavingexpert.com)
Edit: Found it! Bank accounts 01133809574

Thanks i will give that a go later. I mean it is bad enough at 40p per minute on my T Mobile pre pay and my credit goes down quickly but for it to be that pricey on contract its wrong. I am going to switch to Vodafone pre pay soon its by far the best value with Stop the Clock and spending just 5 quid in the week to get free calls and texts all weekend plus calls to 08 numbers with them is standard rate. I will just use T Mobile for web.
