I've added a picture to some of my contacts. Does Outlook file this picture somewhere else, so I can now delete the original picture ???

I'm not sure if Outlook stores a copy of the picture, but my P990i stores a copy of the contact picture internally, so I can delete the original picture that the contact picture is based upon.

From your avatar, it looks like you have an M600? I would have thought this would store a copy of the picture in the same way as the P990i?

Is the picture the same second time you sync up the contacts?
On mine, I get blurred pix second time around. I hate that. I tried all the settings on the PC Suite, yet nada works.
Any suggestions?!

Yes, re-attach the picture to the contact.

and next time I sync is blurred again. I am tired of attaching pix, and now I do not synchronize the contacts anymore.
I noticed once in a while, the phone compresses the contacts. Can this be the culprit for the blurred pix?

I'm using outlook 2003 and I've not had any problem with pictures on contacts. Everytime I firmware update or master reset and then resync back to the phone the pics appear on my phone again against the contact and in the speed contacts page when I assign the numbers in there

then tell me what is the picture size and resolution you are using.
maybe this is my issue.

and not only that it screws my picture, it also add that contact as a new entry. so any time I add a picture to a contact, it will add the contact in the computer and in the phone.

I decided to make these as private, so these contacts will be excluded from sync.

I am using 640x480 pictures. The reason is that M600 was displaying some 320x240 pictures messy. The 640x480 were all sharp. So when i got P990 i still use 640x480. The thing is that i dont know what are recommended sizes for contact pictures. And how big are they when someone is calling you. Is full screen possible? I would like them to be bigger....

My friend has issues with M600i and contact pictures. So once again please tell me recommended sizes for both phones.

On the P900 there was an option to display the picture full screen when getting call. Not anymore on P990. Not a big deal though.
