> Symbian Signing on Vodafone
Bookmark topic
Hi,
I was reading up on the w950i, as my contracts due for upgrade at Vodafone. I've read that the Voda model does not have extensive branding, in fact just a startup screen from what is visible, which seemed cool since I've been worried about that.. can anyone back that up?
The main thing I want to know is: Does Vodafone support Symbian application signing? That is, will I be able to stick third party unsigned apps on the w950i without it refusing to run?
Also, Is firmware related to Symbian application signing? Thinking about it I would imagine that the phone's Symbian signing preference has to be stored someplace, and Vodafone custom firmware would be a logical place indeed, seeing as this preference is different between operators.
Sorry if any of my details are incorrect, I have until saturday to decide on a phone and i'm all googled out of results

AFAIK this does not happen in practice so far.

Had no problems with the UK Vodafone W950i installing anything on it.
