Today I played with a T68 with a prototype software with Java, and the options effects and options for the Communicam MCA-25.

It was in at my university in Lund today that SonyEricsson showed all their new phones the T100, T200, T300, T68i, and P800. They also showed the new Communicam MCA-25

The T68i had prototype software with Java and some other enhancements. There was a new menu item in the "Fun&Games" menu called Java Manager There was also a debug menu item

I asked the SE person about the Java stuff in T68i but he didn't want to say much about it, just that they indeed were working on phones with Java engine. But he would not comment if Java will be available for T68. And after that they replaced that T68i with another T68i without the prototype software, because when I visited the stand an hour later the T68i at the display had the standard software.

But the SonyEricsson person did say that the newer software of the T68i will have support for the new effects of the new Communicam MCA-25.

I also played with a P800 prototype, and I have to say that it is just amazing. Not as big as I thought it was either. The P800 felt very fast and the browser was very good. The screen was very bright and sharp with nice and bright colors. The handwriting recognition was also very good, I had no problems at all. The P800 worked perfect and I would love to have one, it is truly amazing.

@T-mobile

No he said he didn't know when.

He was a developer, and also had no idea what the P800 would cost, or when the P800 would be available. At least that was what he said...

The memory shouldn't be an issue with the T68i as far as java is concerned. The T300 doesn't seem to have a problem. So why should the T68?

T300 doesn't really have java.... the games uses the Mophun gaming platform... Mophun is probably quite slimmed compaired to java (a wild guess)

I didn't look how much memory there was in that T68. But my guess is that it was just a standard T68i.

Cytech mofun is what i was talking about. If we can't have true java I would settle for the mophun engine.
