Hi guys,
Since we probably will not get Skype version for UIQ soon
we might try to push fring (http://www.fring.com/) .
They currently have a Symbian 9 client (Nokia) so they are not far away...
They have a forum on their site with Phone Support Requests.
If we all write them and ask for support it might encourage them.
Please help
Puzit

Hi all,
I did exactly what you are suggesting as initially the number of S60 3rd edition devices supported was very limited. I E-mailed then quite a few times pointing out the N93 was not only at the time Nokia's flagship device but was also WiFi enabled and although i never received any response. They have now added more devices to there supported phone lists i have installed Fring earlier this morning and now have all my Skype and Skype out contacts on my phone but am only connecting via WiFi as my Web N Walk tariff forbids the use of VOIP services. All i can say is installation was both quick and easy and call quality is excellent i would say it is actually better than it was on my TyTN and the official Skype Pocket PC download. It's Fringing fantastic and definitely made my day and would suggest as many of you E-mail them as possible as they do appear to listen and hopefully you will get access to this IMO great app.

Hi Ares,
I first saw this a while ago so i wouldn't say they are the quickest in getting it to market but having looked at all the other alternatives and even buying a TyTN to try and get mobile Skype it will be worth the wait as so far i am well impressed and the other thing that is amazing is you can run Google Talk also. Unlike all the other services i have seen that all seem it involve some type of call charges to setup a Skype call using WiFi is completely free and even using 3G or GPRS you only incur your Networks Data usage charges.
