> SMS Inbox not being read by w950i

Over the last couple of days I've had an error with my w950i. I can read any new messages via the prompt from the standby screen but when I go to read my inbox I get a grey box titled information and just not found on screen.
I did a master reset on the phone and that seemed to fix it but the problem has returned.
Has anyone else had this problem. The phone is less than 2 months old!!!

Bit more info. If I search for a text message it will list them so the phone recognises they are there but my inbox is empty!!!!
This is starting to annoy me cos I know it will be some daft setting that i've inadvertantly switched on.
