> People Who Talk Loud on Phones

If its one thing i find really annoying other than dodgy ringtones is people who who talk really loud on there mobile phones in public places.
I've often wondered why some people did this,is it maybe because they have a weak signal or they can't hear the person at the other end very well?
Or is just because they may have a faulty handset with a dodgy speaker?I can't be sure what it is exactly..my best guess would be that people like that have a serious lack of etiquette, and simply have no consideration for people around them.
I really don't mind what people choose to do in there own homes but is there really any need to shout down a phone with members of the public around you? This is what comes to mind:

Funny movie! You are most likely right with the 'missing ettiquete' to say it mildly, its rudeness, inconsideration and plain stupidity! And since 99.9% of the people arpound those, never tell them to freacking shut up they will continue to do that!

There was another one of these skits and the guy was in the library shouting "I'M IN THE LIBRARY! WHAT? THE LIBRARY!! THE PLACE WHERE YOU READ BOOKS!" That was hilarious.
On the other hand, people had no boundaries left nowadays. There is no time or place a phone in the crowd would not start ringing - at the movie theater, at the library, during a funeral, anytime. Is it because mobiles are too new to us being only a decade old or so, and we couldn't develop manners to use them properly in social life?

Maybe its cos they are in a loud place like when someone say IM ON THE BUS and maybe they dont have the volume up loud enough. What really annoys me also is all these young kids on the busses these days who now think its cool to play music on their phones really loud. WHY. Get some headphones. Some people have asked them to turn it down or off on my bus route but nowadays your likely to get smacked in the face or beaten up. God we all must be getting old with our moaning its scary im only 35.

same here... but with my mum. I cringe if she phones me 'cos I have to get the volume down so quick, otherwise all 'n' sundry can here what she's saying!

Because you are in a busy, noisy environment, and maybe the other person is too. You need a lot of attention to keep focused, which seems to be substracted from your social behaviour.
I also tend to speak louder, as so many people do. But I am aware of that (especially in trains) so I try to keep it down.

Maybe subconsciously, we decide to talk louder if the sound from the other end of the line is one of a noisy environment, we assume to be in the same ambience and try to talk louder. Just a guess.

yeah sadly people talk loud.
I say that there should be signal blockers in certain areas just as we have in the Middle East like in the cinema.

Sure but then we wouldn't have the "Hashkal" live commentary to what most times ends up to be a crap movie...
