> Will 02 ever offer Unlimited GPRS?
Bookmark topic
Every month im starting to have nightmares about my phonebill last month it was £36.80p now it's due in the next couple of days.
I tend not to use GPRS much but if I can't be bothered turning my pc on i'll check my E-mails or eBay items im selling and often i'll take a peek thru Esato.
02 State 1.0MB gets you 100 download pages free,
OK so I turn off Pictures whilst im on 02 Active and yet they charge me nearly £12 for browsing last month really ironic
Whats my next bill £80? ive browsed Mobile internet quite abit this month im so dreading getting my bill
The other day I enquired if they'd ever do a Unlimited GPRS package in there contracts, they didn't say no, but they did mention something which might get up hopes up for the near future,
I just hope indeed they do

I hope they do soon. I get 36mb free on my tariff as part of my upgrade deal. Its a good thing too. I was paying about £80 a month before and now I am back down to £25.
Its still not as good as T-Mobile's web and walk. a friend of mine uses web and walk plus on his MDA Vario 2 to connect his laptop to the net as he doesnt have a landline at home and is more than happy with its 3GB limit and gets near broadband speeds.

Cos im paying £25 per month anyways I asked 02 if I could pay £20 per month line rental and extra £5 for 5MB Mobile internet, all they said was I had to wait 6 months,
But hang on If I had upgraded myphone on there online upgrade line then they would've given me a reduction on my line rental they told me this before christmas sad thing is tho they can't even do that for me now
02 GPRS costs a bomb I think it's wise not to even use it until they relise alot of people aren't happy with the costs of it!
I dunno how you managed to get the 36MB free but well done!!!!!

I told them (after 9 months of a 12 month contract) that I wanted my PAC code to go to T-Mobile to make use of their Web and Walk and they gave me that deal plus a free K800i.

That was good bet you were laughing
thb since ive got rid of my Genie tariff 02 have been pussyfooting all over me they gave me a free 3G Sim apparentley at the time they were gonna charge me for it, then I get a invoice thru a month later saying nil charge,
few weeks later I get a letter saying next time I upgrade i'll be sure to get the latest phone free,..
I paid £120 for a Samsung phone with i-mode when I upgraded, but before the 14 days ran out I took it back and exchanged it for a 007 K800i they charged me £30 for it and prior a month before they wanted £129.99 for it of me
anyways last week I noticed I wasn't recieveing MMS tried all the settings everything ok emailed 02 they said it was faulty and to take it back to the shop where I got it from, did that and they ex-changed it for another K800i get that home it still don't work phoned them up they gave me the settings manually still no result then they say the sim cards faulty?
Hello I tried in another phone it sends and recieves,
anyways they say take it back again
next morning I ring 02 again the first guy is abit dopey half asleep and he clearley isn't worth talking to he said he can't help me cos im phoning from the mobile so I ring off my landline then hey presto result turns out nothing to do with my phone it's sumat to do with there data end,
cos I had a i-Mode Phone it did sumat to my account stupid and pathetic really!

God, don't get me started on 02, biggest bill I've ever had was £200, all thanks to their excessive wap charges! Best they could do was offer me a bolt on, and only one! Getting sick of 02, Web n Walk looks seriously tempting. 02 will have to pull out all the stops when I upgrade in august!

I will never get a contract again. I am now on T Mobile Web n Walk Pre Pay and its great. Its no more than 1 pound per day. My O2 bill which is now my last ever as i have become bankrupt as i lost my job after 9 years. My bill came to over 600 quid using GPRS. Total rip off. You cant keep track of it on line as the charges come in so late like a day before your bill comes through. I hate contracts better off on pre pay.

I am seriously thinking of going to T-Mobile for their web and walk. I can leave my mobile connected 24 hours a day checking emails etc.

Seriously its been a great service. I have a solid 3G signal where i live work and go out plus where i visit friends and family. T Mobile have changed for the better. I never have a problem connecting never get dropped calls and customer services are really helpful and friendly. I would say go for it but get your signal checked first in the shop and ask maybe someone where you live if they are on T Mobile what coverage is like. No network is perfect all my friends are on Orange and O2 and they have got poor coverage. And dont forget to add Web n Walk to your contract. Good luck.
