lately i had nokia e60 for 2 days, had to send it back cos it was an asian one, even i flashed it with new fw, didnt worked in 3g coverage ( next to wlan etc perferct worked ).
my question is, could it be, that its a hw bug or are there differences between asian and european umts systems? as mentiend , in 2g fone worked perfect.

Yes there is built difference HW wise for Nokia handset. Electronics for European market (if frm Nokia Finland) has better quality...
Had u noticed the bak label for its make? Was it MADE BY NOKIA??

Wel Boba... its not necessary dat HW wud b faulty if its Made By Nokia. But there has been instances whence this make handset brought up several issues wen compared to its European twins.
If wat I'v heard frm vendors ovr my place is true, then MADE BY NOKIA handsets are assembled in China. As 3G is not availabl in India, i'm unable to chek whether ur E60's prob is common to asian made handsets
