Hello,

I recently bought a K750i phone (R1CA021 firmware, CID 49). After playing with it for some time I found the quality of photos shot in dark conditions very bad. The photos are OK in brighter environment. I compared my phone with friend's W800i (recent firmware) and there is a clear difference in quality of photos to my K750i's disadvantage:

The first image taken by my phone with the flash just to show that with ISO 200 it's OK:

k750i flash off, ISO 800, exposure time 1/20 s:

w800i flash off, ISO 800, exposure time 1/20 s:

k750i complete darkness, ISO 800, exposure time 1/20 s:

k750i another shot in mixed conditions:

What is most annoying is that noise tends to be irregular and does not disappear when downsizing the picture: a checkered pattern is clearly visible on the phone's display.
There is a note in the warranty conditions:
"Minor variations in camera image appearance may occur between phones. This is not uncommon and is not regarded as a defective camera module."
I want to send this phone to the warranty service but before that I would like to know if the observed differences are "minor variations"?
Did someone observe similar issues? The easiest way to reproduce the problem is to shoot a photo while covering the lens with hand in any mode (high/low quality/size). Thanks for any help.
