Is the above combo possible. I noticed after pairing and using the Sony PC Suite that the phone is coonected via BT in Phone mode. Via USB you can select either Phone Mode or File Transfer Mode. Isn't the same possible with Bluetooth???

Thanks, Jan

using bluetooth you should be able to access the obex file transfer protocol.

Yes i saw that but had no idea what that means. I'll google for it. Guess that's the protocol behind File Transfer Mode?

Thanks, Jan

Ok i noticed i can browse the phone then via the BT file transfer interface. However like with USB the phone does not appear as a Windows XP disk in the windows explorer and thus the Disc2Phone utility can not be used via BT. Oh well, i can live with that though.

Thanks, Jan

yeah, but bluetooth is too slow realistically for transferring songs. You can manually copy one or two music files via obex file transfer if you need to, then use disc2phone with cable when needed to copy large numbers of tracks..

You can create folders on the mp3 folder manually to put songs the right folders using the file explorer function of the bluetooth dongle.
