Hello, my p990 has decided that it wont let me make or recieve calls,i can still send and recieve texts and use 3G just no calls. ive been able to make one call after loads af attempts and my girlfriend got through once but thats it!It starts to call and then cuts off before the bar even gets halfway across the screen. I rang vodafone and they said there is nothing wrong on their end and its probablly my phone! they i would have to send it away to get fixed which is NOT an option (no way am i using a crappy phone with no touchscreen for a couple of weeks!) ill demand a replacement if i have to. Does anyone have any ideas to why its started doing this?

thanks for your response! No everythings normal,it was workin fine, i tried using it 40 mins later and it wouldnt! its got full signal,its not in flight mode everything works but calls! Ive tried a master reset , leaving my phone off for a couple of hours ive been through every menu and setting and everythings normal. nothing has worked! im going to try and flash it when i get home from work, its bloody annoying!

It sounds a lot like the phone may be blacklisted, and if you're on T-Mobile or Vodafone you can still send/recieve texts and browse 3G but not make calls for some reason, whereas on O2 and Orange you'd get no signal and it will say something like 'invalid sim' or 'invalid mobile' where the service provider name is if blacklisted.

i got it brand new as an upgrade, its worked fine since September until today!
Its very strange, ive managed to make 2 calls after countless attempts and my girlfriend got through twice after countless trys to me! im going to flash it now.
