Hey ppl...i currently own a W900i and am v happy wid the fone but i want a smart phone now so wz thinkin of gettin a P990i...however i want 2 kno 1st is it worth buying?
Hows the mp3 quality? if not like the Walkman series then atleast like K750i? Sound should b v loud
I heard the phone hangs etc...r those bugs now fixed with the new firmwares or the ph still has some untackled issues?
How is the camera quality? the video capture quality and 3D Games?
Most importantly is Symbian software for the phone easily and freely available? Most good software costs money whereas Nokia softwares r usually free...
Would appreciate 2 get ur views..
thnx

Great phone! Nothing better is available for the moment. Great durability. MP3 quality is a lot better than K750. Get and you will never regret it. After you got it - update firmware from SEUS (SE Online).

@ade - The P990 is STILL a very competitive PDA fone at the moment, much better than the other ones . . . but if you have MONEY to spend, better wait for it's successor . . . ONE of the BEST things that you will have an advantage on this when you BUY it now, is it's - $$$$, much cheaper compared during it's INITIAL release. Good Luck !

They are completly different phones. You will miss some w900 feautures like flash menus, animated screensavers, equalizer on the media player, a good battery life, a better camara (but not too much). On the other hand you´ll have wifi, touch screen, qwerty keyboard, office and pdf viewer and many aplications. You ll just have to decide what you want most. If you want both w900 and p990 features i think you will have to wait for future models

just one more thing... the p990 audio quality is far better than k750 but unfortunaly is not so loud because there is no manual equalizer and the predifinitions settings sucks! If you buy a application called LCJukebox than this problem will be solved and have even better sound quality

Depends.. On some tracks i dont ear a thing if i´m on noisy places (and with the same tracks with my w810i i never had this problem) Of course that for many tracks the volume is good enough or even too loud. But the point is... for the same tracks the volume is not too loud compared to the other phones

YES, & you shouldnt have to pay more than £200 for one outright.

No manual graphic equalizer? I thought it had one. Now I'm really really beginning to dislike this phone even further! On top of not being able to record a call and having to have the phone switched on for the alarm to go off they omit the equalizer! That's absolutely intelligent of the damned engineers!!
