exactly what the subject says, i think Nokia will unfortunately take over mobiles this year as SE have gotten so lazy with their new phones having nearly the same specs only different designs (touch screen, buttons etc), I mean.. they are still bringing out 2MP cameras ffs! I think come April, i am going to have to part with SE after years of using their phones, to go for the N96 which has the 5 MP camera and smartphone system unless they come out with something spectacular!!
Losing my respect for them sorry, only my opinion though!

its n95 with the 5 mp cam. indeed, se lost the wow effect, but i wouldnt focus on the problem on cos the cam mp things. imo its pointless go for a fone, just because of the cam and then blame cos of qulaity. 2mp is perfect for average usage, but the lack of af and flash light in some coming se models makes se feel stupid

Nokia E90.
SE do not have even the guts to be anywhere in the shadow of that device.
It has EVERYTHING. GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSDPA, WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS, HSCSD you name it.
Absolutely huge screen, (800x352), qwerty kb, 3.2M camera.
EVERYTHING.
Now, can P990 compete with that?

i agree with you totally, as i am very dissappointed with the W850i and regret upgrading to it from the K800i.
I really like the idea of this new Itunes phone or whatever it is.
Any gossip on it and how does it work out with networks?
Come on SE, get with the times!!!

a 5mp camera phone isnt everything and also having everything in a phone doesnt mean it is the best out there. if it doesnt work well then its better to have less than more. i really doubt N95 will work as well as we might think it will.

Then in this case the 3310 is the BEST because it is the biggest selling phone of all time.

SE has got a beter UI, its an older phone, and the P990 has got a sort of soul, something nokia phones don't have.
SE is just widining its line, same thing but diffirent design, its something every company does. i know most of us like me don't really want to see that, we want new things, more and more. but we also want SE to become nr 1. and they have chosen this strategy, so we'll have to live with it. this strategy will also lead to more profits, meaning more money for R&D and i'm sure we'll all benifit from that once they launch their patented deskstand!

@marktang
I bet you it will have less problems then all the WSOD K800's and other SE phones with this problem and lets not even bother mentioning the fiasco that is UIQ3 shall we. If you like SE fine and no phone is perfect especially at launch but at least Nokia address the problems quickly and give you a change log so you actually know what improvements are being made. Unfortunately IMO since Ericsson merged with Sony quality has gone out the window they are focusing on gimmicky branding with Walkman and Cybershot and the low end to generate revenue and market share and profits but heavily at the cost of quality and reliability just check how many threads on here of quality problems and phones that just die. Sorry but SE ruined Ericsson IMHO.

I think, we are just expecting too much from SE.
