Hello allī
Im having some kind of problem with my k800i. For the first this is the firmware that i have : R1ED001
And the date for this one wich says underneeth is : 060831
Why doesint this change when i updated the phone thorugh Wotan. When i connected the phone and pressed "c" i got the message that the EROM was too old so i un connected the phone remowed the battery for a short while, then i did as wotan said, and held down "2" and "5" when i connected the phone again. But nothing happend. Tried this 4 times but with the same result. So i decided to say "no" when asekd if EROM update. Then i came to the meny where you choose wich language and right firmware. But why couldent i choose the newest one? R1JC002 CID51 Could someone plz help me. Regards Seekay Sweden

Took out the batt again for few mins before pressing button 2&5 (phone) together.
I don't know about wotan but kulan has made it mandatory for user to upgrade EROM version first before flashing firmware. They said too many ppl blame them for a dead phone while the actual problem is the EROM ver in ppl phone is still R3A011. Maybe wotan have same policy?
But for your case, you want R1ED to R1JC then you need to update EROM CID first from 49 to 51. Wotan will take 1 credit for that (updating EROM CID) and another credit for flashing the firmware. You can't directly flash R1ED to R1JC!

Ok I marked the CID 51 when i came to the meny. And after 29 sec it stod : Update Ok suscess i think, i didnt update the EROM at first. When i marked the CID 51 was this the same as update EROM? And if i understand u right i have to buy another credit if i want to upgrade the firmware?
Tnx for the quick resopnse /Seekay666

As far as I know yes you have to buy another credit to flash and finalize new firmware.
I don't really know a lot about wotan because I still have ftp problems with them. As far as I know only kulan require 1 credit for both updating CID and firmware.
You can check your EROM ver by using standard >*
BTW, There is a FAQ in reviving DEAD K800 by machanic that details how to update EROM version using wotan.

Sorry to dig this out, but I was wondering if people resolved their problem with Wotan EROm update - I just did it on my K790i, and it said it's done successfully after which it prompted me to disconnect the phone and remove the battery for a while. I've had the battery out for up to 20 min and after re-inserting it my phone STILL doesn't power on, kinda mad at the moment because if they bricked my PERFECTLY functioning phone, I WILL BE PISSED!
