Hi sfantul

Not doubting you or anything but are you sure? as that seems totally illogical and would be grounds for a misselling action as it clearly states that it has Bluetooth 2.0 and i really can see no advantage of downgrading the bluetooth spec or if it is even possible.

ok let's explain

I use a bluetooth 2.0 and Bluesoleil. When i check properties on my conected phone, bluesoleil say it's 1.2, my bluetooth dongle is 2.0, and transfer rate is around 20k.

when you transfer on bluetooth 2.0 what tranfer rates you have with latest firmware ?

Hi sfantul

OK this now makes a little more sense as although Bluetooth is meant to be an open standard it has been reported in many forums that SE's implementation does not work properly with all devices and some not at all as illogical as that seems this may be what is causing your problem.

bluetooth versions are hardware standards and have nothing to do with any update or software..

Same problem and no explanation for this all over internet or SE sites.

After update lastest firmware via SE, bluetooth is conecting only version 1.2 and NOT version 2.0 + ERD.
I use Bluesoleil, and before update this says LMP version 2.0 + ERD.

This SE W950I is a very nice piece of CRAP.

Sorry for my english, Spanish is my native language.

yes same problem like rayitas, i think firmware is limiting the bluetooth to 1.2 to avoid some problems discovered.

any solution ?

all owners of w950i please test your bluetooth conection and report transfer rates maybe we have defective phones

Hi all,
Now that this has been confirmed by many others all over the web, i think some one needs to contact SE to find out what in the world is happening as although the literature says specifications may change prior to launch this is after release and is now not what you bought and paid for.

IMO you would be entitled to demand a full refund whilst i understand this may not be what many if any of you want to do this really is inexcusable behaviour by SE and just reinforces my belief i will never buy another SE product again. Just what is going on at SE at the moment is IMO beyond belief they must be putting something in the water, tea or coffee thier behaviour of late beggars belief. Remembering of course that when first announced this was also meant to have the Office and PDF viewers that also mysteriously disappeared by launch and the classic BST44 battery issue that was a Typo i mean how can anyone trust SE or anything they do anymore really sad days for SE IMO. Who cares if they are announcing great new phones when you can't even be sure that's what you will actually get. SE you really suck big time now.
