I have a p990 model that is branded by orange. Can I debrand it in some way without taking it to a GSM service?

At the moment none of the 'online de-branders' support the P990. In due course they say they will, but I have no idea how long that will be.
That leaves your current options as either sending the P990 away for de-branding, or you could purchase the same equipment (SETOOL) they use and then de-brand it yourself. The big downside to purchasing the equipment is that it is expensive, but if you are still interested just google on SETOOL.

this SETOOL...does it involve special cables (other than the standard USB) or something?...or it`s just a piece of software?

SEtool, is a software based program that allows you to debrand and repair SE handsets. It is very expensive, as you need to purchase a box or dongle, at over £120 and then every time you use it you use "credits" which you also need to pay for.
As SEtool team say themselves this isn't really a tool desinged for an end user it is desgined for service teams and people who will be doing a lot of handsets.
The cost of running Setool is high. We have SEtoll and other tools which we use, SEtool is good, but again the cost of running it is too high for the end user. If you were only looking to do your own phone, which is what it looks like, then the cost of debranding your handset woulr be ~£150, instead of sending it to someone who does it regularly and knows what they are doing for £10.
I amn't saying you have to use us. I would just look into using someone's service as debranding isn't worth half the cost of the handset.

seunlock-uk, i would use your services with all my pleasure, but you are too far away. I wonder if my network provider that branded the phone would unbrand it at my request..

while networks are happy to unlock (for a price) I have never heard of one that will unbrand.
In theory, besides adding their own value-added services and features into the phone, the phone is also tested on their network and they cannot confirm that an unbranded phone would perform in the same way as their branded version so for this reason alone they would surely not do it

I`m kind of confused about this matter. If it take the phone to a gsm service for unbranding (which i`m sure they can`t do right), i would lose my waranty and if something happenes with the phone, 500Euros are gone :|
I`m not quite confortable with the small bugs in it`s actual firmware and that`s why i want the new one.

"technically" yes debranding the FW will void the warranty, however there are service centres who will still work on your handset under warranty even if it has been debranded.
Your service provider will not debrand the phone for you, you must do it yourself or have someone else do it for you.
If you let me know your location, I will see if I know anyone near you who might do this service for you.
