got my new blackberry a couple of days ago(7130g). its locked on the orange network and as i have no data plan and no monthly contract only calling and text messaging works for now.
i tried sending a picture to another device through bluetooth and that didn't work and nobody can send me anything so what exactly is bluetooth on the device for if nothing can be sent or received?
i also have on the main screen a GPRS indicator so i can browse wap but thing is i have no browser icon whatsoever on the phone. the orange wap browser is not there and the blackberry html browser is not there so what does this mean?
also tried registering on
http://www.blackberry.orange.co.uk and all i get is a system error popup message everytime. its not computer or browser related as the same problem occurs on laptop and desktop and with firefox and IE.
so-
1. why can't you send or receive media through bluetooth?
2. where are the browser icons and how do i access the pay as you go GPRS?
3. do others have the same problem with the orange blackberry registration website?
thanks very much to anybody who can help. if i can't sort the problems and annoyances out i will just sell the phone.

1) BT on BB's is only for headset and car kits. very annoying i know!
2) there not there you get them when you resister on the network but as your a pay as you go customer you can't do it unless something has changed - Try going into options> advanced> Host Routing Table> Push scrool wheel in and select regsiter now and see what happens!
3) to regsiter on
http://www.blackberry.orange.co.uk your BB needs to be actiavted as it were, its all down to having GPRS APN out on your account saying that your a BB customer, but as i said i dont think that can be done for pay as you go customers unless something has changed in the 2 months since i left.
i hope that helps you?
cheers

the instructions to register said go to that blackberry orange website which didn't work. my sim is already registered so the useless customer service people can't help me out(sorry in advance if anybody works for orange

)
so the blackberrys are basically for monthly customers although pay as you go customers can use the phones as an organiser and normal phone without email or internet.
