Hello all, its my first post here so be easy on me, kay

Anyway, I'm just new to encoding of music videos to 3gp for my K800i. While i feel that largely, the process is hit and miss, i'll like to gather some idea as to the usual benchmark for settings in terms of bitrate, fps, video scale size, aspect and the accompanying audio bitrate and sampling freq. My objective is of course to see high quality results for video playback on my phone.

Also, with all these settings thats recommended, what is the usual file size to be expected for a 5-6 mins music video clip like?

My last question is :

How does the different variables like Bitrate, FPS, movie scale size, sampling frequency all come together to affect the eventual quality of a movie playback on the K800i.

Thanks for your time, i'll look forward to getting to know u and learning the tips and tricks for this phone.

gaming guy, i suppose mine is approx the same size as yours with that setting that you mentioned. However, with a K800i, I think u can ramp up the settings comfortably without problems.

imho you can use resolution like 320x240 with a bitrate of 300-340kbs for video and 128kbs for audio....

I use the Canopus Procoder: it is a professional encoder for mastering quality videos...
