Is anyone else awaiting a firmware update for their UK O2 P990i (162008/6)
If so, i was wondering if they have contacted O2 to ask when if/when it was going to be released.
I email them from time to time to ask them, but they are never very informative and when they answer they skirt around the issue. Stating that they only support the version installed on my phone.
i am thinking that the more people who contact them, maybe, just maybe they might put their finger out. I always email them, because it is much easier to keep repling with the original email, in a sort of "no, you misunderstand... please pass this on to someone else" kinda way.
UNITY IS STRENGTH
btw, very informative page, showing the various software versions on each version of p990i -->

There is little point in pestering O2 or any other provider. It takes time to build localised versions of the firmware and then to test it. From what I heard, Vodafone and Orange had rejected the last release because it was too buggy.
I also know that SE have recruited a load of extra staff for both development and testing in the last few months.

I havent even got the reassurance from O2 that they even plan to issue new firmware. I just get the stock answer of "the version you have is the one we support"
Surely it doesnt take this long.
