In the walkman, under the >more>Manage>information there is a lyrics tab, does any one know how to load lyrics into the phone so they can be located as described above, and what file format they need to be in?

I have tried dropping lyrics in rtf format into the album folder to no avail, so any help would be appreciated!

lyrics are stored in the ID3 tag so you will need to add them on the pc using some program that edits the ID3 tags before transferring to the phone

they will need to be in plain text format

more about ID3 here

Well, have to admit I've never even seen a real w950 - this is the west of Ireland...but I know for a fact that "lonely cat games"'s LCG-jukebox is availabe for w950! I use it on my e61, and it's brilliant - you can download lyrics seperately if you want them (and cover pics), and the app then scrolls them across the screen in tune with the song. The jukebox also includes internet radio,file explorer, etc etc... And NO, I don't work for them, but I bet it beats whatever native player you have in your w950!!! Playlists load in a flash, sound is excellent, and you need no pc to get lyrics etc... it's worth every penny they charge! And you don't pay for updates (frequent improvements, new languages etc, etc... They don't skimp!!!!)

@maggflodd

Thanks for that mate, the software you mention came up on a google search b4 so i may give it a try, thanks to masseur's good advice i managed to get the lyrics across but it was a long drawn out process and it doesn't automatically display them!

the only thing that concerns me is the cost of obtaining the album art and lyrics from the internet, so i might well try it out on the p990i instead!

Just downloaded and tried the jukebox on the p990i and it is excelent it has found album art instantaneously that i haven't been able to find in months of scouring the internet, it locates and downloads lyrics in seconds and allow you to view them with the press of one button.

I will definatley be buying this one, i cannot reccomend it enough but it wont find its way onto the w950i! (for now)

could do with taking some lessons from this software!

Hi nanu *1,
For fear as being facetious i think SE could do with takeing lessons from everyone. Especially as they have no removed Bluetooth 2.0 from the W950 i really think they have lost the plot completely and really can't see myself ever buying SE again which is a shame as i quite liked the look of the W880 but not anymore.

that a bit off topic for this lyrics thread, and there is a thread for that topic here in No bluetooth 2.0 w950i

in there it seems you can determine your BT version from some 3rd party BT software on the PC

lets continue the BT discussion there please
