> deaf or blind?

Right,
me and my flatmate had another discussion in el pub last night!
if you went to bed one day and woke up would you rather be dead of blind?
not a cheery subject but we had a discussion,
he would rather be deaf as he loves driving too much and i would rather be blind as i don't think i could live without music, i know i'd still feel vibrations but it wouldnt be the same music i listen to now.
what would you rather be? deaf or blind?

Tricky one that,as i know a few deaf people and there quality of life doesn't seem to bother them.
But judging that blind people cant see anything and rely on hearing and touch alone to navigate around i would choose being deaf.
To me not being able to see is like going to sleep and never waking up.

i went almost blind about 14 years ago, got an infection, was 2 weeks long in the hospital, saw 20% instead of the normal seeing. my left eye is 30% wronger, my right is 15% worse then normally, its my weakest point of my body, so i have usually headache if weather is changing etc
all i learned, that to see is the most important imo, cos everything is based on seeing. thats a total different story if u was born blind. but if i had gone blind, i would have kiled myself, thats for sure. i know its hard to understand, why i say that and wish, nobody of u the same " experience".
