My P910 is dying and i was waiting to get a P990 until i can sync with mac.
I'm getting really annoyed. Does anyone know if this will happen or should i just forget it?
God forbid, I might have to get a treo or something...

Hi Trevor,
This has been discussed many times on the forum in the past and unfortunately although the P990 white paper stated there would be Mac support. Many members here have had it confirmed to them by SE that they have no intention of supporting the Mac platform now or anytime soon. So if you really need it to sync with your Mac as much as you may like it I'm afraid the P990 is just not the right device for you sorry if that's not the answer you wanted but better to know now rather than after you bought one.

I have a feeling the iphone is going to be disappointing.
no removable media, IM client?, 3rd party apps, not even sure you can transfer documents, etc...
I was really excited when i first heard about it but now...

i'm getting my p990 next week but reckon i will be able to get it to work, via XP on parallels or via boot camp.
i'm a mac engineer so hopefully will figure it out, also the 10.4.9 update is coming soon, and with it i heard an isync update, which may include P990 support, but dont hold your breath with Apple..

There are certain programs you can use with your P990i on a Mac.
Have a look at BluePhoneElite first, that's great fun!

Also, something I use to sync my iCal is this:

It works a treat!

Yes I use SEUS running on Xp on a MBP Core 2 Duo and it works fine.

@ Jonathan488 Thanks for the heads up on the BluePhoneElite... just downloaded the BluePhoneElite2BETA... working very nicely with my P990i.... able to send and read SMS on MacBook from the P990i... just as I could with my K750i a year or so ago...
