> faulty p990i? please help

bought a p990i recently, but im having difficulty in connecting it with the pc suite, tried downloading the up to date version from sony ericsson website etc, but still no luck,
connects to the m-router aplication fine, just not the pc suite :-s
when looking at the system info, there appears to be a few squares im sure aren't meant to be there,
it apparently was locked to orange, and has been unlocked, there are no signs of any orange menu's etc though, possibly been debranded? im not sure. if any1 has any ideas, your help would be greatly apreciated

Ask the one you bougt it from, if they've debranded it maybe something went wrong?
Normally when debranding is done it should be abled to updtate FW true SEUS/PC suite.
Anyway, hope you'll find a solution, good luck.

thats an incomplete update attempt for the R9EA firmware.
had that happen to me when SEUS seemed to stop updating without actually telling me that the update was over. it simply reverted back to the intro screen.
when i check the phone info, thats exactly how my display showed up, with box characters and CCPU HELL, which freaked me out a little
i just stuck it back in for another SEUS update and it came out fine.

sorry, i just realised how dumb i sounded then lol, cant use seus, says i have the wrong version of flash player installed :-s
and i cant connect to pc suite no matter what i try

ok so sorted the original problem, managed to update the phone again,
but back to the old orange branded CDA 162008/16 & organiser version CXC162036 R3B01,
though im flashing it to CDA 162007/1 on kulan-kendi tomorrow,
still having problems connecting my phone to the pc suite though, anybody have any theories on this?

cant get it working whatever i try, SEUS works fine, flashed it to world generic 1 on kulan-kendi ok, picks it up fine in file transfer mode, just not in phone mode :-s
whats goin on? any ideas any1??
its driving me mad!! lol

In my experience if you can connect to SEUS but not PC Suite, either you have not installed PCSuite corretcly or perhaps your firewall is preventing PCSuite from working.
Firstly check your firewall settings, and if necessary try with your firewall disabled.
If this doesn't work download the latest version of PCSuite, remove the version you already have, install the new version you just downloaded and try again.
