> HELP! My K750i got wet!

2 days ago my K750i fell down the toilet don't ask how, it was in there for a few seconds (3-4) before i pulled it out. It had already been soaked through, i pulled out the battery, memory card, and sim, and dried it out as soon and as quickly as possible, i followed some instructions on the internet on what to do when your phone gets wet, i followed the procedure, taking out the battery, sim and memory card and put it in my airing cupboard, it has remained there for 2 days straight now.
I didn't know at the time but i should of taken off the cover of the phone to let it dry fully, i have not yet tested it to see if it working, but my main worry is the battery. on one of the ends the panel which is usually white is slightly red, will it work in my phone of damage it?
How long do you recommend i leave it for?
I'm really desparate to know because it is the only phone i have and i need to know whether to order any parts/components.

sorry BobaFett what is a sonic bath, how much money and where would have the service, the local SE shop?
I want to work out how much the total amount of all the repairs will come to so i can decide whether to get a new phone or fix this one
i really need some help.

no offence, but after 2 days what other solutions are u waiting for? to use a hairdryer etc is pointless, first it has to be checked by experts, what aorts are damaged or not. is there any independent mobile shop or se service in your near?

yes, u have to pay, but u better do it asap, otherwise u ll have a dead fone and a new one would costs more then to repair it, but who knows...

The red part is simply the moisture detector sticker, you can try your battery in your phone to see what will happen, it shouldn't damage it any further (Just don't sue me if it does!)
You've done the right think by pulling the battery out and letting it dry for a couple of days, I'd try it now to see what happens. Let us know if it's been resurrected!
btw, if it doesn't work, it could well just need a new battery. Try a mate's battery if your's doesn't power the phone up to check.

The joystick up and right control wouldn't work at all, on the menu, but when i go into my media player they work fine. would i be able to update the software would this fix my problem?
The volume buttons don't work anywhere, apart from that the phone is fine and working. but gets jammed from time to time.

yeah things already seem to be going wrong, it was working ok yesturday for a few hours but then the volume buttons stopped wokring then the up and right directions on the joystick stopped working. Today i only turned it on a few times, the first time it worked fine, i turned it off after my use.
A few hours later i tryed turning it on again and the backlight comes on it rumbles as it should then the backlight turns off then on and off and on repeatedly with the phone rumbling. I needed to take out the battery to turn it off as the on/off button was unresponsive.
anyone know if it worth getting the damage fixed or should i get a new phone?
any ideas i would be very grateful
