@jack - If you are planning to get EITHER of this TWo in . . . AUGUST 2007 as what you have said . . . maybe it's PRUDENT to let your THREAD here . . . roll for a while, as I'm sure many folks will post their - CHOICE in what to get (if they were YOU) . . . I'm still for the W880 here

Well they are quite different handsets and each has things that the other doesn't - so I guess it depends what you feel is more important. Here is a very simple summary of what each phone has that the other doesn't...
W880i: Very thin, 3G
W610i: Better camera, EDGE, FM Radio
In the UK EDGE is pretty meaningless as I think only Orange use it at all - and even then it is only in fringe areas where they don't have full 3G.
By August there will probably be a better handset than either of them though that won't require a features compromise (although I doubt you'll get much more into a W880 size - at least not in the near future).
