its perfectly legal in most countries as long as the owner has ample signage stating that any attempt to hijack or steal his car or tamper with it would cause serious injuries/death...

As long as that sign is clear at any angle around the car then its perfectly legal... Just like the electrified alloy wheels u can have installed on ur car!
