If you activate cell information (channel 50) in P990i and whenever there is a new message it will pop-up. This should not happen to channel 50 because it is cell information. It should be like an operator logo. The reason I'm saying this is I'm working in a telecom operator wherein we are sending message to channel 50 every minute and it is anoying if it pops up. If it is for other channel then it is ok for it to pop up for new message. I hope this will be corrected in future release of service updates.

Actually I think it is set as hotmark by default. Because in some Nokia phones (except for N series i think) you will be ask if you want a certain channel to be as hotmark or not. If you put hotmark then it will pop up everytime their is a new message.
