I have a fli amp, 800w, 15" fli sub and fli 6x9's, i got a wiring kit which works with amps up to 1000w, my old power cable melted around the fuse holder which is in the bonet. The wire came appart but it melted. So yesterday i put in a new power cable and the same thing seems to be happening again. Do i need a thicher gauge power cable or is there a fault with the amp? Am getting annoyed to the point where i could just rip the who thing out and put it out for the bin men.

any help will be greatly appriciated.

Perhaps a smaller fuse? But then it may just blow fuses all the time. Could be your amp.

Are the 6x9s wired to the amp? Cos you can extend your existing door/rear speakers to the 6x9s. There is hardly any difference at all too, sometimes its even better believe it or not!
