Is it normal during the stand by mode when i press the joystick no response from the cellphone its completely in standby mode but when i press any key the lights turn on... whats the problem in it?

If you have R1ED001 firmware, then you wil have this problem. To solve it update your firmware

It's still there in R1JC02, so a firmware upgrade does not help, only a downgrade to a version prior to R1ED001. It's not a bug, it's a feature, that deliberately was introduced by :se.. I guess it was a way to try to save battery by not waking upp the phone by mistake of the joystick is touched by accident.

This was a deliberate attempt in later firmwares to conserve battery power (i.e. phone's led and screen would not wake upon 'accidental' movement of joystick in pockets)

Perhaps se should only implement it in 'Power Save' mode?

Makes sense, when you have your phone in your pocket. The joy stick moves easily and the phone does not wake up this way.

I prefer it this way, the K750i and W800i are both the same. Makes no difference to me whether I press a key or the joystick. The keypad may wear out sooner but is much easier to replace than the soldered-on joystick!

I don't think that the STICk is under normal condition if you TRY to move it and it does NOT respond . . . if they say it's for SECURITY reasons, say like, when you put it in your trousers et al . . . I guess that's the DUTY of the KEYPAD-Lock feature . . .

IMO it really is a firmware improvement. Now I won't be sending loads of empty messages anymore to the first person im my adressbook, whenever I forget to lock the keys.
