I was standing bored looking at my phone and I realized it it's time for a change. But I don't know how to make the changes. At least I know what i would change. All that follows is about stand by screen:
1.the time should migrate to the top status bar; it would look better there
2.the date should disappear; I know the date everyday
3.the today menu I want to disappear; I never used it
4.the ability to change size/ transparency / or remove some/all 5 shortcuts
5.the bottom 3 buttons should have no background; so about the top bar. i mean, the wallpaper should be 320*240 then

i can't help you with all the problems but i can sort of help you with two of them: 1) to hide the today menu simply click MORE on the standby screen, then click PREFERENCES - TODAY and check the box next to HIDE. as for your last problem i simply suggest either using or creating a theme with transparent backgrounds for the Softkeys and the StatusBar. I believe there is a version of the Windows Vista theme somewhere which is almost entirely transparent. Hope this helps you out...

but if the status bar is transparent, then, the background size will be increased to 240*320 or it will remain 240*308? or whatever the size of the wallpaper is...
thanks for helping the today menu

thanks for the theme. its very nice. but it's not quite transparent, the pictures look like it is. and the top bar is the same colour with the wallpaper and that gives you the impression that is transparent.
10x again

actually, transparency is not possible for the softkeys bar or the status bar. I just make the illusion of transparency !

Try the SE Themes Creator, get it
here.
Transparency: use transparent .PNG files.
If you have total commander, you can extract the theme files.

I'm the one who made almost all these themes on se-uiq.com, and I know what I'm talking about !
of course you can have transparency whith png, but there is no way to do that with softkeys bar, status bar, infoprint, dialog background, menu panel...
you also can extract the theme's files with any zip soft.
try one theme

Hmm, On the P990 the Softkeys CAN be transparent. (They are in the Amazonia theme, try that out.) The transparency will go towards the application background.
This document shows exactly what can be transparent and what can't.

if the wallpaper is not 240*320, then its not possible to have transparent buttons and status bar.
what im asking, if there is a way to increase the wallpaper size to the full display size. if we cant, then what will be behind the buttons, if not the wallpaper?
is some who understands what i mean?
btw, thanks for trying to help
