Hi there,

Has anybody here already used the Nav4all navigation system on the P990 ?
I've installed the application and it seems to work fine as I can download maps from internet, but it can't localize any place because the signals from my GPS receiver are too weak I think. In fact, when I try to locate a place (my domicile) with Nav4all, it recognizes the GPS receiver but there is no position output while the timer keeps counting.
According to the manual of the GPS receiver it's because of the weakness of the signals.

The receiver I have has been purchased through ebay. It's the HOLUX GR-230 with only 12 channels.
Before buying another one I'd like to be sure the problem comes from the GPS receiver.

So, could anybody make a test with his GPS receiver and tell me if everything is ok ? Or for the ones using Nav4all already just speak about their experience and what GPS receiver they have !

Thanks,

Hi, I have Nokia LD 3W module and it works fine with P990 and Nav4All.

But I don't like function button control on this app.

Hi again,

I went to buy another GPS receiver this afternoon, an HAICOM HI-406BT, and I'm glad to tell you that it works great with Nav4all.
One thing I like with it is that it's incredibly fast. I've tested it home but stil needs to take it on the road to see how it goes... I'm optimistic about it.

Just one bad point : there was no wall charger in the box. By chance the Holux receiver I own has the same wall charger which is to plug via USB.

Guys and girls I've a problem here with the Nav4all system.

Don't know if any of you Nav4all users do experience that but all I get now is "no gps data" as message.

Yesterday again I've had that message but after playing with the settings everything went back to normal.

Is there a specific setting to parameter to get the thing work properly all the time.

Thanks,

@ mayacesar

Every once and awhile I've to restart my P990i (so with my K800i) in order to re-establish the proper connection with my bluetooth device (from TomTom). There are, by my knwoledge, no special settings to counter that specific problem; think it's a bug. What are the guys @ NAV4all saying about that?
Cheers
Bert
